LIFE'S FAULT
BURDENED I WALK THESE STREETS,
A NOMAD IN MY OWN HOME
I SEEK AND CAN’T FIND
I KNOCK, BUT THE DOOR IS LOCKED SHUT.
KICKING STONES AND STUMBLING,
I FORCE A SMILE.
AND THEN I REMEMBER YOU
AND RAGE DRAGS ME INTO THIS ABYSS.
I FEEL BETRAYAL, I NOW KNOW HATE.
I GREW UP SECONDARY TO YOU
YOU HAD NO PART IN IT, BUT FATE HAD PLANS
YOU LIVED IT ALL, THE GOOD LIFE
WHILE I GROUND MY TEETH IN DESPAIR,
I WANTED SOME, NO
I WANTED ALL OF IT
I WORKED HARD TO SHAME THOSE THAT MOCKED ME,
PUTTING MY LIFE ON THE LINE TO GET RECOGNITION
I FOUGHT FOR LIFE, LOST WITHOUT BEING LOVED
MOVED ON WITH ALL MY SCARS AND EXIT WOUNDS
BUT SOMEHOW I AM SUPPOSED TO BE THE VILLIAN IN THIS STORY.
