The Night I was shown The World
You dropped down like an angel
My guardian
Right in front of me
Perfect timing as I had a plea
I began crying to the universe
Asking why me
You showed me the world's guiding hands
The soft touch of its kindness
The care of mother nature
The ears of silent woods
The kind words from a blood's mouth
The caressing kiss made by the sin of lust
The loving embrace of true love's trust
The beauty of what life can give me
The lies spoken by Lucifer's tongue
The gaze of a running hare
The chit chat of tomorrow's regrets
We set apart for hope of a good night's rest
I awoke the next morning
Smiling from ear to ear
As I remember what happened
From the night we spent together last
I spent a long few moments
Lying in bed staring at my ceiling
Thinking of the words in my troubled mind
Then I said my own lies that I deeply hate
You mirror my stance and said the same
Now I have learnt I must always speak true
To stop any chance of future regrets
I'd hoped you'd stand by me
But I've forgotten that I spoke of lies
