PERFECTION!!!

In my enviable folly, I do err
Showing incompetency in pretense
But what of the original truth
Declared by he who is perfect
Sub-endothelial in my subconscious
Is a focal emotional ulcer
That contracts via “expected” imperfection
Moreover, it is an expected unexpected
That on a mind philosophical has no effect
Honesty ....... lost in the night
But found in the twilight
Iron sharpeneth iron
But during this process
Some heat is evolved
Surely the heat of agreement
There is no perfect man
There is no perfect woman
But we all strive for perfection
At least those of us who strive for it.
