In the beginning God made the first season of Community, and it was good, so he went ahead and cancelled it like all good things in this world. But there was a man who couldn't stand for such "horse-shit". He knew God wasn't being fair and deserved to be high-roaded like any "piece-of-shit" willing to brush gold under the rug like some sick orphan bagging for love.

Dan Harmon, writer and producers of shows like "Rick and Morty" needed a place to vent his anger towards the worlds lack of political correctness shortly after the first season of Community was cancelled. Before Dan was a critically aclaimed writer, he was known for his stand-up comedy, and during his rise to fame he created the website "Channel101" where independent producers could create Web series style episodes, and the audience would vote whether the show was worth another episode, or if it should be cancelled. When Dan moved to LA, he was brought along with Rob Shraub, another rising comedian and director, and while creating shows for his new website, he met Jeff B. Davis, known for his role on "Who's Line is it anyway" and Justin Roiland who would eventually co-produce "Rick and Morty" Down the road.

In the backstages of the Nerd Melt Theater, Dan saw a unique opportunity to gain the attention he so desperately bagged for. There was a stage, Microphones, an audience most known for being nerds and outcasts, and an ipod filled with Dan's favorite royalty free hip-hop tracks. It was here that the HarmonTown Podcast was born.
Initially the podcast was never meant to be more then one episode, but the audience demanded momentum, and Dan couldn't help himself. He became the voice of the people, and they looked up to him like an equal if not a god. The podcast has had many famous guests like Kumail Nanjiani, Greg Proops, Aubrey Plaza, Bobcat Goldthwait, Curtis Armstrong, Patton Oswalt, Jason Sudeikis, Dana Carvey, Felicia Day, Robin Williams, Mitch Hurwitz, Joel Mchale, Rob Corddry, John Mayer, Eric Idle, Logic, Steve Agee and many more.

Although the podcast is known for going off the rails, it raises questions of the direction society is boundlessly heading, and sheds a fresh light on an otherwise bleak future. It gives you an opportunity to connect with the world as a whole in a way never before possible. You will relate with Dan harmon in ways you never dreamed of, and will ground you to your human body knowing that we are all in the same boat, equally afraid but also equally excited.

Dan Harmon might not be the messiah we were expecting, but he is definitely the messiah we needed. I highly encourage anybody who reads this to check out his ongoing podcast. He tries to release 2 live episodes every month for free, and if you want to watch his episodes live as they are being created he offers a subscription for $5 a month, but only if you need to see it live.
