Pizza master
Pizza was invented in Italy, specifically in the southern region of Naples. It originated as a simple dish in the late 18th or early 19th century, when Neapolitan bakers created flatbreads topped with tomatoes, cheese, and other ingredients. The modern pizza, as we know it today, became popular after the introduction of ingredients like mozzarella and tomatoes, which were brought to Europe from the Americas.
The Margherita pizza was famously created in 1889 to honor Queen Margherita of Savoy, using toppings that represented the colors of the Italian flag: basil (green), mozzarella (white), and tomato (red).
