It’s Friday -- That means another Pizza Night is here!

Are you a pizza lover too?

Working in Dallas, there are countless pizza options available within a reasonable distance. Every Friday we get pizza from a different restaurant. This week we went to:

Anthony’s Eatalian

Concerning The Menu

The full menu at Anthony’s Eatalian is extensive, offering “traditional old-fashioned Italian comfort food” from appetizers to desserts. The pizza menu takes up a page all its own, with many house specialty pies available, such as “The Roman” and “Meaty Pie”. They also make four different kinds of calzones if flat pizza isn’t what you’re feeling.

The Pizza We Ordered

"Veggie Heaven": spinach, artichokes, red onions, mushrooms, roasted cauliflower and garlic – lightly sautéed in olive oil.

How Did It Taste?

Overall, this was a tasty pie, and a welcome departure from the "garden variety" vegetable pizzas that are typical at many establishments. Somewhat unfortunately, there was a significant gum line, which was too thick for my preference. This one might be a good candidate to reheat in the oven the next day. More data is needed to verify (no leftovers this time).

She may not be much to look at, but her demure appearance belies her savory flavors. The cauliflower and garlic danced so well with the spinach and artichoke, it was a great combination. If there’s anything I could change about the Veggie Heaven pie, it would have a less significant gum line and it would be less salty. Overall though it was a fine-tasting pizza.

Closing Thoughts on Anthony’s Eatalian

It’s a smaller establishment with lots of tables, many of them compact, so be prepared to sit close to your neighboring diners. The staff was not overly attentive, but they were friendly enough. The prices are average compared to similar restaurants in the area. With a menu that offers many Italian dishes, Anthony’s Eatalian is a casual place to get some ‘za, a sandwich or something more substantial.

What kind of pizza would you NEVER eat?

The Pizza looks really nice and delicious to eat, I like Pizza alot for its yummy taste

Pizza is totally delicious. Thank you for commenting, obest. Take care!

Few things in life surpass a good pizza. OK, maybe two of them with root beer to accompany. With a good movie as well. As to what I would NOT east on pizza...hmm, that one is tough. Angleworms? Most about anything tastes good in this mode of kitchen operandi. I just made two last night, with Kalamata olives, artichokes, broccoli and mushrooms. No cheese, but basil added too.
Hope all is well in your world, and life is good. Cheers

Pizza with no cheese? That's a mind-bender!! Those toppings sound like a delicious combination, I have to say. The angleworms I could also do without. Well, actually they might taste good in some way on a pizza...maybe. Your kitchen seems like it must be a fun and quirky space .

Oh! Yes, things are moving right along here, thank you always for your friendly inquiries. Hope you and the old Sip N Smoke are doing well :^)
