Some rural poor people take piggery as a livelihood. They buy a piglet with Rs.1500 (USD 23) and it takes about 1 year or more for the pig to grow up and to be sold. After gaining a weight of about 50 kilogram the pig is sold at a rate of about Rs.8000 (USD 123) , and this money is used to buy their needs. If the amount is consumed for their living then it would last for a month.
