Why I want a DSLR...

Depth of field is so very important to photography and phone cams are just shit for real optics. While I have some relatively okay quality shots from my phone, I seriously desire a quality body and optics to make images like this actually look good. I have been badgering my wife for a while now about getting a quality DSLR... hopefully she acquiesces to my desires. "I mean, really, just think of the quality of photos we can get of the children?!"
