Views from Battery Park City
Views from Battery Park City
Battery Park is on the tip of Manhattan and gets very busy as many catch ferries from there put to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, but even if your not planning on going on the ferry its a nice place to visit even if it sometimes gets crowded, often there are street vendors and street performers there, but for most of my visits there I go early morning when it is quiet there, but this post will not focus on the park itself but of some of the views you can see from there.

Starting with what of course many go to see the Statue of Liberty, even if it is fairly small in this shot I only had the 28-70mm lens with me the day I took this.

And also from Battery Park you get good views of Jersey City, like manhattan the skyline there is also always changing with new buildings going up.

The 70mm is enough to zoom in enough to get a good view of the Colgate Building and the Colgate clock, when I used to live in Jersey City I would often visit the area near the Colgate building and clock, I wonder how much it has all changed after about 7 Years since I was last there.
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

It certainly has changed since when I first visited years ago. Nice to see the changes:)
I bet you would notice the change a lot, :)
Nice shoot brother, I really like the ocean view with a city or mountain background.

Heyyyy @tattoodjay!! Quite the view there new friend. I could not see the statue of libhairtee! I zoomed in and looked and looked. I even had my son look too. Nada. LOL
Sorry about that its in the first photo
Behind the water taxi
Aha thanks, I could not see it either, I was also looking at the second photo, lovely views from there!
Then it shows I posted it nit very clearly maybe I should put the text about the photo before the photo not after it
I always debate that with myself when I'm doing food posts but nowadays try to place the photo below the text that relates to it. I think we're so used to seeing photo descriptions below photos so I often end up doing it that way.
Yes I have been thinking about that and I think it makes sense the problem is I bounce back and forth I should at least be consistent :)
I'm exactly the same, will try to be consistent from now on seeing how two of us looked at the wrong image here.

I will try and to remember to keep it in mind for future posts ;)
Hahaha, i was totally looking at the wrong image! Whoops!
LOL I did wonder :)
The Colgate tower didn’t change, but you should come check it out, you are just a short bus trip away. Or Path train. Very convenient. These shots are great, I can’t believe I live in such an amazing place. We both. 😉
I have considered heading over there one morning before work, but it takes a fair bit of time from Grand Central but one day I will :)
Wow. I love these shots from Battery Park.
Would love to visit NYC one day since I have never been there and it sure looks beautiful from all your previous photography
