Singing warrior of the gardens

This birdie was sitting still for a long time very close to me and didn't want to fly away until I got 1 meter from him. Then flew half a meter, on another slat of fence. It was funny to see as he balanced with his tail feathers. In springtime, male blackbirds are constantly singing from early dawn to late night, defensively defending their territory from other male birds or cats. Cats are sometimes attacked by warrior blackbirds.
