Sunset - St Georges Basin, Australia.
This was sunset on St Georges Basin a couple of months back. I head to this spot pretty often just because it's a nice little cleared area and it's nice to hang out and just watch the fish jump and there's alot of different bird species here. Sacred King Fishers are a common sight. Yet to get a decent photo of one though!!!!! It's a challenging spot for getting a good sunset photo, i wouldn't call the overall big picture all that attractive in terms of it's photogenicness but there are lots of living and dead tree's branching out over and into the lake, plus it's sheltered at times so you can get some really glassy reflective water! Pretty stoked with this photo, the colours and textures on the water surface coupled with the shadows are really stunning and the old dead tree branches and seaweed give it an element of drama, even an eerieness, that really grabbed my attention.
