Pueblo natal de mi papá! ~My father's hometown!
Hola comunidad de Steemit, en esta oportunidad les vengo a contar de un maravilloso lugar, donde nació mi padre, donde se crió y trabajo en toda su niñez junto a su padre y su hermano. Me encanta ir, me encanta todo sobre este lugar, de verdad espero que se enamoren de este lugar al igual que lo estoy yo!
Les presento el pueblo de El Pilar (Pueblo de mucha Paz como le digo yo), es la capital del Municipio Benítez, Estado Sucre, fue fundada el 1º de mayo del año 1662, con el nombre de “Nuestra Señora de El Pilar” por el padre fray Francisco de Carabantes, cerca de la zona llamada Los Llanos.

El acceso terrestre desde Cumaná son 137 km aproximadamente, un viaje de sólo 3 horas en carro!
La capital del municipio Benítez esta construida en una meseta rodeada de vegetación selvática. En la iglesia y plaza Bolívar, tiene una altitud de 74 metros sobre el nivel del mar. A 6 Km., de distancia está la quebrada Antonio Díaz y pueden observarse restos de sus haciendas de cacao.
Su gente es muy trabajadora, pues, en este lugar se ve toda clase de cosecha de verduras y de su popular cacao, muchos viven de esto!
Hoy en día el Pilar, municipio Benítez, produce cerca del 20% de la producción total del cacao en el estado Sucre, a su vez este estado es el mayor productor de cacao del país, por lo que la asistencia y apoyo a sus productores es de vital importancia. Aunque son pocos, algunos ya han comenzado a cambiar su forma de ver el fruto.
~~Siempre he considerado el cacao de este pueblo como el mejor, es muy delicioso, perfecto para hacer todo tipo de postres hasta comidas saladas.
En resumen, sin duda, este pueblo es una maravilla, un sitio que da mucha mucha paz, su vegetación, su gente, su geografía, sus lugares, todo enamora.
