RE: Could someone tell me how to grow on steemit?
Hello @michaelsiino. Well, this can be a tricky question. We started the last of August 2018 and are only 108 days old, but we have grown, from what I am told, fairly fast. Here is what we have been doing to help us. Please know this is for us and everyone will have varied results, but most people usually grow by doing these things.
The first thing is to create and post quality posts. Your photos are amazing, but there is nothing for us to relate to. Take a few moments extra and tell us a little bit about the photo. Take for instance one of our photo essay "Staying Flexible." We chose to show some of our favorite photos and tell others about them. It enabled people to get to know us a little better and helped them relate to us. Granted, you do not have to be as detailed as we were, but the fact is we stepped out of our comfort zone and allowed people to see into our lives just a bit.
The second thing is to find contests to join. There are hundreds of them and they all will not only enable you a chance to win some steem, but it will get your name and work out there for people to find. Look up and follow people like @juliank, @bluefinstudios, and @derangedvisions. These people not only enter many photo contests, but the sponser and host them too.
Third, make connections by commenting as much as you can and start up conversations with people you feel you have something in common. This is a community and we try to engage with each other whenever possible. This causes you to get your name out there and people will eventually notice and recognize your name. I was told once by a couple of really wise people (@dreemsteem and @bluefinstudios) to comment, comment, and comment some more. Trust me, it will work.
Finally, if you are not already signed up in Discord, you might want to check into it. This is where all the real connecting happens. I know I found myself being accepted and helped to be plugged into places with people who really care. You can find more information on the Discord and how to use it in a post I created. You can view that post HERE
I know it is overwhelming and can be frustrating, but all you have to do is ask. You have and I am sure you will get all types of advice. This is what has worked for us. It takes time and it takes stepping out of that comfort zone and getting involved somewhere.
Hope this has helped. We are here if you need us.
