Bay of Fires - National Park
The Bay of Fires is a bay on the northeastern coast of Tasmania in Australia, extending from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point. It is a region of white beaches, blue water and orange hued granite and is mostly national park and conservation area.
So named in 1773 by captain Tobias Furneaux when he saw the fires of the indigenous peoples on the shores.
