Color Challenge Monday Red - The Surface of Jupiter?
Amazing what you can do with a backyard telescope these days. Why, we were just pointing it at the evening sky and we got this amazing close-up shot of the clouds of Jupiter!
Had we stumbled into part of the Great Red Spot? The colors just got more intense the longer we looked.
Wait a minute. Let's back things up.
It turns out I'm using the wrong lens. We haven't left the Earth at all.
I guess you don't have to travel half a billion miles to see skies like this!
I hope you can forgive the misdirection, dear readers! But these clouds really are other-worldly, aren't they?
