Photoblog #1 - Hiking to the top of Mount Tammany
Hello Steemians, I would like to share some photos with you from my yesterday's hiking trip to Mount Tammany near Delaware Water Gap.
Mount Tammany is the southernmost peak of the Kittatinny Mountains in Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, United States. It is 1,526 feet (465 m) tall, and forms the east side of the Delaware Water Gap. Across the Gap is Mount Minsi, on the Pennsylvania side of the river. The mountain is named after the Lenni Lenape chief Tamanend. It lies along the Appalachian Trail in Worthington State Forest. The summit can be hiked by the Mount Tammany Trail ascending the western slopes. This trail head is accessible from Interstate 80.

You begin the trip right from the parking lot conveniently located near the Interstate 80
Looks very easy...piece of cake...
Ok...some rocks to deal with
After about an hour of in to trail we were half way to the top. The views were already amazing

We still had about one hour of climbing...( this is the point where you realize that you running out of water)
Well, I had enough while kids were pushing me to go up
Finally...The Top!
Well deserved break at the very top...!
After an hour and a lunch at the top, it was time to get down...
Another short break to recharge...( point where you starting to question everything)
Refreshing stop at the Dunnfield Creek on the way down
Well, it was time to move on, we still had about 20 min to the bottom
Scenery was amazing.
