Winter means the Pithapuli Festival. During this season of paddy ripening, various pithas are made with new rice and date jaggery. Just as these winter pies carry the luxury of our food, there is a lot of tradition and culture in this country. Pithapuli's organization is not limited to villages and towns, and now all these Pithapuli are organized.
However, the pitha you see here is called "Vapa Pitha." The pita is made with rice flour, coconut, and date jaggery. The pita is made completely by steaming. And so basically the name of this pitha is Vahapa Pitha. This pie is very delicious.
