B&W Photo Contest - Bridges

Here’s my three entries for this weeks B&W contest hosted by @daveks.

Nine Arches Bridge - Sri Lanka

This felt like something out of ‘Stand By Me’ - walking along the tracks and taking in the picturesque scenery. To get to the bridge it’s a lovely walk from Ella station - a pretty hillside town. We checked the train schedule to make sure we got to see a train crossing the bridge - so cool! The bridge is made purely from stones, brick and cement - no steel. Incredible really. And a must see - you can easily stay in Ella for a few hours, taking in the views, train spotting and enjoying the cooler climate.

Kuang Si Falls, Laos

This bridge, or what a I like to call - ‘balance beam bridge’ - was on our way to Kuang Si Falls. Having bags on our backs, we had a couple of wobbles on this charming bridge, but we made it over without a splash! :)
