PHOTOGRAPHY.... BIRDS........THE FISH EAGLE
The African fish eagle is a large bird, and the female, at 3.2–3.6 kg is larger than the male, at 2.0–2.5 kg.
Males usually have wingspans around 2 m, while females have wingspans of 2.4 m.
The body length is 63–75 cm.
The Eagle feed mainly on fish, which it swoops down upon from a perch in a tree, snatching the prey from the water with its large, clawed talons.
The eagle then flies back to its perch to eat its catch.

They are usually seen in pairs, thought to mate for life, the female can be told apart from the male as she is the larger and has a larger white breast patch.
Their breeding season occurs during the drier months.

An eagle in flight can reputedly sight a rabbit two miles away.
Talon–eye coordination is a hunting imperative.
From its perch at the top of trees, the eagle can dive at speeds of 201–322 km/h to catch its prey by its talons.
What's more, scientists estimate that up to eighty percent of an eagle's sensory input comes from its eyes.
This leaves little left over for a sense of touch or taste or smell.
In fact, if you cover an eagle's eyes with a hood, the eagle will instantly go unconscious, its brain shutting down due to sensory deprivation.
