Some of the kids attending school here have to walk up to 14 hours to get to class. They then stay in the dormitories and get looked after by the Sisters until term ends.
It's a complete contrast to how I grew up and shows how much they deserve the help.

reminds me of the rural school i attended in Uganda. kids there used to walk barefoot, for hours to go to school. most of them did not know what shoes were, to an extent that they had jiggers (parasitic insects) on their feet.
