TheKenny Travels #4: Long Island
It was a short weekend, but it was a Long Island
Went to go see my dad on Long Island for Father's Day. We also went around the area and visited several sites. It was my first time exploring Long Island, and while I knew it was more suburban, I didn't expect it to have so many hidden gems. I was limited to a short weekend trip but I know there's still lots more to explore so expect more updates on my Long Island adventures in the future!
Duck Walk Vineyard
There are many vineyards scattered all around Long Island, especially in the Hampton area. They aren't as large as the ones you might find in Italy or other parts of Europe and America, but they were fun to explore and wine-taste nonetheless.
Sunken Meadow State Park
The sign said, "No pets year round," but I said, "No, pets year round!"
Long Island FunFest Carnival
We were lucky enough to catch the FunFest weekend. The carnival was a very nice place to take my brother and little nephew. Because we went in the evening during a foggy and wet night, there weren't as many lines so we got to enjoy all the rides.
Planting Fields Arboretum
Bonus, there was a mansion there to explore! Brings $5 cash per person if you want to enter.
Nice photos. Ive just joined and going to post photos of my travels :)
