I’m about to release a radical thought onto the internet for all to see: I have spent too much time practicing and perfecting my craft and it’s been mildly detrimental to my career. Has it turned me into a better musician? I mean, yes, obviously. Does this mean I get the amount of work that I want at the pay rate I desire? Not at all.
