How to take pictures of Lightning with your $50 phone

We had a massive storm blow across the English Channel recently. My hubs and I went up to the top of the cliff to watch it come through. We spent about an hour and a half out in the torrential rain taking it in turns to film the storm with our mobiles. Once we got home I spent some time sorting through the videos I'd taken. These are the two best shots I managed to grab from an hour of so of viable video. It's that simple.
