Power plant Nussdorf - Vienna / Austria
On this photo you can see the power plant Nussdorf in Vienna - Austria
This is an original picture I took by myself.
History:
From 2004 to 2005, a small hydroelectric power plant was installed in the Nussdorf weir and sluice system at the beginning of the Danube canal in Vienna's Nussdorf district. The opening took place on August 31, 2005. The plant, which consists of twelve matrix turbines, has a bottleneck capacity of 4.74 MW and generates around 28.11 GWh of electrical energy per year.1] This corresponds to an average output of 3.2 MW and can supply approximately 10,000 households in Vienna with an average output of 320 W per household.
The small hydroelectric power plant Nussdorf was awarded the Climate Star climate protection prize in 2004.
In spring 2017 a fish ladder was opened. This enables fish to overcome the difference in height of 3.6 metres over a length of 322 metres during the fish migration.
It is a nice picture which you have shooted.
Thanks a lot.
