A walk in the sun
I don't know how she does it, but @smallsteps still has energy after being out walking and playing around the city in the heat (25°c) nearly all day. Even now she is not wanting to settle - I am worn out though.
There is an old stable (Tallipiha) in the city that had been converted into an arts and crafts place with a couple animals for the kids to look at.
We hung out there for an hour or so and had a snack; home made apple pie and a cheesecake for the parents and a plain corn wafer thing for @smallsteps - she hasn't complained once... Yet.
This is where we sat, it is quite a cute place.
There is a playground there too and @smallsteps excitedly went to the slide until she touched it and it was scorching hot. I remember as a kid the slides in Australia and you could literally fry an egg on them in the summer.
Instead we just sat around and walked to see what was on offer, like this glass worker.
And this pony that was actually really cute and fat, but in this shot looks like a psycho's horse.
We then went for a walk around the city and I decided to put my @actifit app on which seemed to chew the battery.
I will go out on a limb and take a guess that one of them turned 5.
The city is full of flowers at the moment, but it doesn't really offset all of the roadworks that are ongoing while they put in the infrastructure for the tram. It is pretty ugly at the moment.
We spent some time in the central kids park too but again, there is absolutely no shade provided (which I find really weird considering skin cancer warnings) and most of the equipment was too warm to sit on. The swings got some afternoon shade.
We ended the day with sushi on a gift card I got for taking some photos for a graduation. The only thing better than sushi, is free sushi. Well, it was about 10 hours work worth of photography and editing, so not quite free :D
I didn't take photos of the food...
These days are few and far between so it was nice to be out with the family for once. The next few weeks are forecasted to be warm, but I don't have holidays until a week in August so I who knows what the weather will be. May as well enjoy while we can.

Life is so beautiful. ... and @smallsteps is a star in the sky of life..... love you all... god bless you..
Beautiful family day, beautiful family and great job at capturing it in some beautiful photos.
I love summer, I love walking around seeing the sites, and your photos made your day feel real to me!
One nice thing in Finland is that there is still a lot of "normal" without the fanciness of some countries. This city is small but there are heaps of things for small kids to enjoy and in the summer, plenty of festivals for the adults - if they don't have children to take care of that is.
I drove home from Tampere today. I brought the cat home from the cat hotel (my parents’ house).

It was good weather and like like it will continue for a bit. Did you get to have some time in the sun?
Yes, we visited Hatanpää Arboretum among other places. Earlier this week and last week I had to be mindful of not getting too much.

This was my first real day out for about 2 months so, it was nice. My arms are a little browner.
Might head out to Sastamala tomorrow to an animal farm or perhaps, to Hämeenkyro and get some raspberries.

17k steps in a day is very impressive...

My other tracker says 16,000 but close enough :D
Do you find it eats the battery?
Yes. Therefore I use fitbit device.
Posted using Partiko Android
Ah, that makes sense. so it pulls the data from fitbit instead of counting directly?
Yes. Syncs the device and pulls the data from today or yesterday so that I don't have to post the same night.

I have always wanted to get a fitness tracker of some kind, I might add that one to my list of potentials. Though, I would have to use it too ;D
Does Actifit work with Apple Watch @organduo?
Posted using Partiko iOS
Not yet. Only with fitbit and with Actifit app on the phone.

If @exyle is doing @actifit, anyone can and probably should... They give zzan and sports tokens in addition to afit.
Sounds like a nice walk and a nice treat was had by all. Such cute photos. Miss my kids at this age

She even had a nap for 30 minutes which meant we could enjoy some ice creams without having to eat in front of her :)
She is growing so fast and I think I am going to miss these days.
Aaaww bless her heart. 😂 I know all about not eating the icecream in front of the kids.. It's a parental thing. She's really sweet looking. You will miss these times. Hold them close. My two are now nearly 20 and 18 and although they spend a lot of time with me still they are now young adults and I miss the young squishy little ones I used to have. ☺️

...And then @smallsteps had a video chat with her uncle and it made her uncles day... 😊

Haha, well, I hope you are not referring to that pair of eggs somewhere else closer to you. LoL
Kids have adult sized energy bubbles. Adults also have adult sized energy bubbles. This is why small children can run forever and "old farts" like us are like nope we ded after 5min jumping on the trampoline with them XD
Well on a hot day and ice cold beer could be better than sushi!!
It looks like your daughter really enjoyed the day, some beautiful photos of her!!
