Ljubljana castle Slovenia

I was In Ljubljana several times already but never made it to visit the picturesque castle about it. Well, that tradition is broken now. Here I have some photos to share with you. Everyone who visit the city should take some time and visit this beautiful place.

The best way to go up is this funicular, which will cost you same as one pint of beer, you can also pay some more for a guide and to visit some special places like museum of Slovene History.

On the top you can eat, there is some restaurant, bar and some souvenir shops. But the best things are free. You’ll enjoy the wonderful view above the city.

In the dark places you’ll find the medieval prison. It looks really scary, must have been a terrible experience for those who’ve been imprisoned here.

If you are a hiking enthusiast you can also walk up and down, it’s healthy plus you’ll enjoy the nice nature.

There is also a nice surrounding around the castle, monuments, benches to relax, nice walking paths….

Many nice and special things around like this spiral staircase, wishing well, old canons. Just pity cos the storm was approaching, so it was time to leave.
