Mushrooms in the forest!🍄
Today is Fridey day for #FungiFriday
fun challenge by @ewkaw🍄
In Oregon, North America, there is a giant ginger mushroom (Armillaria ostoyae), which is 2400 years old. Its mycelium covers an area of about 890 acres, slowly killing the trees in that forest. It is the largest living organism on Earth.
Gili Trawangan is a small island in Bali. There, psychedelic mushrooms are sold and consumed publicly and legally. They put them in milkshakes and eat them like chips..,
A fairy wheel is a natural phenomenon where the fruiting bodies of a mushroom are grouped together to form a circle.
Fungi are more similar to animals than plants...
There is a brain-like fungus that is highly toxic. In Switzerland and Germany it is forbidden to sell it, while others consider it a delicacy. It is a Gyromitra esculenta (Hamster) fungus.
The most toxic mushroom in the world Amanita phalloides - green bud, has a beautiful and harmless appearance as an edible mushroom. It also tastes very pleasant (no tasting is recommended), and the symptoms of poisoning occur very late, only when it has destroyed the liver and kidneys. Just one tiny hat of this fungus is enough to kill an adult. Be very careful and if you want to pick mushrooms in nature to eat, learn all about poisonous mushrooms first !!..
Some interesting things about mushrooms .... and I didn't know them until I accidentally found them on the internet .... and a whole world of interesting things opened up to me...
I photographed these mushrooms in Susara, which is part of the Deliblato Sandstone. A protected nature reserve that has a lot to show. I haven't explored it quite yet but there is time ...🤗
It was a carefree autumn ...
Let's remember and be in the mood for this difficult time!
Thanks for visiting my blog! 🤗
Have a nice day!☀️
