Welcome to gorgeous WAIHI beach New Zealand

Hi Everyone!
Today I want to share Waihi beach with you. The beautiful sands stretch for 9 km and it’s on New Zealand’s list of top safe beaches. The surrounding community is really buzzing and super super friendly! I truly had the time of my life there.

Waihi town is found in Hauraki District on the North Island.

The sands and the water are amazing - it is a popular surf spot too. I spent a long time chilling and swimming ( it’s hard to tear yourself away! )

Waihi itself is home to the richest goldmine in the whole of New Zealand which is still operating but I didn’t take the guided tour below ground.

Waihi is really well situated to experience the Coromandel, Rotorua, Hobbiton and Waitomo.
