DAY 5 - POST 3: The last few months I have been so wrapped up in helping to launch the new Whaleshares.io platform that I haven't been posting as much as I used to. Sunset Through the Airplane Window

Anyone who has been following my blog for a while know I love to take pictures looking out through the windows while flying. You get such a unique vantage point on everything that lets you see and experience things in a completely different way than we are used to down on the ground. The terrain looks different, the clouds look different, and cities and landmarks look different from above.

When I have a choice, I try to get a seat just behind the wing so I can use that as a framing point in my pictures if I want, but I can turn a bit to get an unobstructed view if I need to. In this case I was just in-front on the wing and the engine blocked a direct view of ground objects, but it still worked good a framing element for cloud and sky photos.

This flight was out West and there were forest fires in the nearby states which enhanced the yellows and oranges of the setting Sun behind the plane. This was taken with my Nikon D5300 through a very scuffed up window.
