🌞 Beautiful Florida Sunrise ~ One of the Few Good Things About the Time Change

For those of us here in the United States, with the exception of Arizona, Hawaii, and parts of Illinois, we had to "Spring Ahead" and move the clocks forward an hour for the outdated and annoying Daylights Savings process. We all have our pros and cons about why we love or hate this bi-annual ritual, but the one good benefit is the timing of the Sunrise and our morning school routine.

A few days ago the Sun was higher up in the sky at 7:30AM and blinding us right in the eyes for the drive East every morning, now it is juts breaking over the horizon. For those who have been following me for a while, you know I love photographing the intensely colorful Sunrises and Sunsets we often have here in Florida. This adjustment to the local time gives me an opportunity, although not really convenient while driving, to see and photograph some of our spectacular Sunrises.

This morning we had a strong breeze coming from the South East bringing a mix of cloud types at different altitudes in the sky and the range of colors and shadows made for a beautiful painting in the sky.

As usual, I will bitch an moan about the power-lines, street lights, cars and other human crap that always gets in the way of capturing nature's beauty, but I did my best to sneak some shots when the road curved away from all the man-made clutter.

One day I will move away, to a more scenic place, but until then the struggle goes on. :-)
