Whoa... Barred Owls Are Cool

Barred owls hang around our backyard and make good company most of the year.

In March, April and May we constantly hear the female's mating call, it sounds like a dog whimpering.....wild really

She will call and the male responds with the usual Who...Who. Im fascinated how wildlife can become used to, and trusting of a human's presence.

Really cool to be aware that all living things share some connection to one another.
