youl chung is one of the remotest village in india ..... According to the 2011 census of India, Youl Chung has 42 households. and 250 people all together.....
youlchunge has have road connectivity to the nearest town of Leh which is 220 km .
Even during summers the road remains open for 4-5 months.Landslides cause major
damage during the summers.
extreme weather conditions.Winters are as harsh as -25 to -30 degrees with huge
snowfall across the region.It remains shut off from rest of the world 4 months a
year. and only reachable by foot walking 100 kms on a frozen river ...

i was there 5 times in last two and half years ....i spent summer as well as winter in this region ......
