HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk #2018 - A Sensitization and awareness programme organized in Tarka Local Government Area, Benue State by NYSC Corp Members.
It is no news that Sub-Saharan Africa is plagued with some of the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS in the world. This situation is further aggravated by the lack of quality health care delivery as well as the high incidence of poverty prevalent in Africa and other Third World nations of the world.
In Africa, almost 50% of the entire population lack access to quality health care delivery and thus, many of these people do not know their HIV status and this has ultimately led to deaths in their thousands.
With this backdrop in mind, NYSC Corps members organized a HIV awareness campaign and free screening for the indigenes of TARKA Local Government Area in Benue State.
