Loving Llamas

I LOVE Llamas and absolutely Loved caring for them on this farm.

We had the opportunity to work in an accommodation position where we also cared for these llamas and various other farm type animals.

This is Barney, the Granddaddy of the herd. I loved him the most.

The llamas are a great community to get to know and they have quite firm views about humans - they either like a person or they don't.

I did enjoy sharing their space on a sunny day - we called this 'Humming with the Earth'. Barney and Astro were 'cushed' in front of me, Toledo stood proudly up the hill.

Krimson was the stud male here on the farm and he was the one who most liked lying downwards on the hill. :)

It was a special time here with these guys and I miss them still. Barney took exception to us leaving and on the last day he did that awesome llama special - he spat used grass at me in disgust. I guess that meant he was going to miss us as well.
