Flower Photoshare 5/11/2024
Photography or a single image I feel often captures those treasured moments in ones life, there is nothing quite like looking back and reflecting good or bad. But I also find that just like the act of writing our collective pictures can also be a art-form. The beauty and meaning of a photo can be expressed and shared in many ways including not even using a single word but instead just seeing what it makes you feel.
While I do enjoy photography I used to share those "everyday" type images that captures just those typical day to day activities, the feedback was mostly positive and so I continued sharing these "Ulog type" photos on Steemit.
Almost every picture as a story to tell right? Or at least that is what I was often been told by some of my followers when I first started sharing photos on here, and I would have to agree with them.
Today 5/11/2024 I share this capture.

I went to sleep way past the usual late hour, this happened because I got a little distracted looking at some debates about the elections. Shame as I thought for a moment there that I had improved my sleeping pattern up another notch. Falling asleep unlike some of the previous nights lately was not a problem. However last time I did receive a message from a friend who mentioned a large group of yobs outside their home playing with fireworks. This is the same friend that was with me during the weekend incident and I think they were generally feeling a little scared. I would normally not reply to such a message until later but I felt the need to as it seems they were a little nervous, also it's very likely there will be more of there again tonight. The weather this morning like yesterday was dark, cloudy and miserable looking. There as been no rain which as honestly really surprised me, but I'm sure all that is coming soon, what I do know is since hitting November the temperature as got slightly colder. I woke-up again nearly 1 hour before my scheduled alarm, I hope to stop waking up 1 or even 2 hours prior to my alarm which as been happening ever since my father was here visiting. I have been resting past the alarm lately, this is likely because of the cold but this morning was on purpose to catch up on needed rest in hopes of combating some of the stresses. With a late start I was sure glad I didn't have work to be in for today which means that this was a good opportunity to get some chores and other things done. Well not that great if I was to be meeting with friends later. I sent out messages to see if meeting later was still going to happen, I only received replies much later which I'm sure means some people were still sleeping. The answer was yes to meeting and so this gave me less time to work with. As you know I have been wanting to try for some more Steem lately, but unfortunately I had been dealing with mostly the same problems from before. But did get a response from the sellers who apparently are dealing with some liquation issues. This was their reason for their terrible service lately, they told me it was estimated that in about 1 week all the problems should be solved. I waited the week, made a trade, but only because I was lucky due to a word of honour and past trading's. They are still having the same issues so I tried again a week later which was yesterday but unfortunately again your just being left hanging, ideally I would of liked some kind of communication even if it's to tell you they can't make the deal. Without having time to try again today it's likely I will try again tomorrow if possible. I wanted to get back on doing those quick workouts, yesterday "after days" I finally managed to get one done, which I now hoped to fit in one somewhere today. But the incident and being generally tired is making it difficult. With time running sort I had something to eat, got changed, packed my bag ready and left to meet with friends. On the way like I expected it was colder compared to the weekend and so was glad that I wore a slightly thicker top. Close to my friends I received a call from them telling me they had gone to the shops together and so to meet them there somewhere. I had a good time with them, generally last time was better but at least I didn't get so tired, however things were left a little late so I only left my friends later than I wanted. I wasn't bothered by this at all because I was having a good time but did of course realise when I got home why I like to leave earlier as I didn't want to make it such a late night. We had made a mistake to not check for any firework displays in the area as there likely would of been some. On the way home I was surprised but also relieved by just how quiet it was out. By the time I got in I went for dinner, didn't check-in with my father as it was too late, and lastly I started to prepare to settle in for the night. I'm disappointed that without warning our TRX wallets on Steemit.com had just disappeared a long with all the funds. The TRX distribution code has been removed from the wallet by the Steemit developers. This was part of the condenser project to fix all the wrong display numbers from the rewards "which I'm glad was fixed" but I think removing the TRX wallet from the SteemitWallet is downscaling the usefulness of the SteemitWallet as a whole. The only way to recover the funds is to make a new tron account with TronLink and then adding the Steem generated TRX account to that newly created account. This as already been confirmed to work tested it myself and so have other steemians but regardless I still think we should keep the TRX wallet functional. Today's Picture
As for the picture today I share some flower photography, a quick disclaimer I understand that this type of photography on Steemit has a bit of a bad reputation. This is because it was often used by spammers to make like 8 posts each day.
Hopefully as you can see from my blog I'm nowhere near making 8 or more posts per day on the topic of flower imagery.
This was captured on a day after I had just finished work, I had already been home got changed and left again to meet with a friend at my closest green spot. There are some small hills in this area and this particular photo was captured near the top, there are some large bushes surrounding parts of the hills. It's near these bushes where I I spotted these flowers by some grass.
Even with all the greenery in the area this beautiful flower caught my attention, sure it's not the main focus here because something else I also found interesting.
While that part of the image is no longer clear here because I wanted to focus on what I like to call the cone.
It's the same flower but still completely closed, I think likely because it's still growing, I said that next time I might add some colour to it so it can be seen better as that is the focus here of this image. However I decided to go the black and white route only highlighting with colour the actual flower including the cone.
Still while not really captured here the actual flower is beautiful and caught my attention especially because of it's purple like colour reaching out between the white, it's almost like it's been delicately painted, I will try to showcase this again on another post if I have anymore photos.
We can also notice that this is a hairy flower, not only is the stem looking hairy but so are it's leaves. Perhaps this is to protect it from certain insects and predators.
There was a moment when I thought these may have been the purple flowers from a previous post where I mentioned I couldn't find any open ones, but I don't believe these are related in any way.

They almost look like a type of petunia or viola as there are variegated flowers like this. It fairly low growing, even though some varieties grow stalks of flowers under near perfect conditions.

My goodness @jeff-kubitz I think you were particularly close going down the viola varieties, I have been doing a lot of searching and cannot fully identify this flower yet.

While I still couldn't identify it I think you put out a really good guess that had me close, noted and upvoted.
Did it start getting colder where you are Jeff? If so it's likely a seasonal thing I guess.

Can you please tell me any benefit of adding the TRX wallet to Steemit?

Hey @abisolami that's a great question, firstly the TRX wallet was already part of Steemit with the change of ownership, it's only been removed during the past month. When it comes to why we should continue to have to a functioning TRXwallet I feel there are many reasons.
A few examples are, TRX is already a well know established crypto that people have been using for a while. It would be good for Steem to continue to be associated with such a well placed crypto, TRX ranks 9th place in most of the leader boards while Steem as fallen somewhere below 400th plus, yikes. TRX being so well known can help attract more users to Steem, I have personally been able to get people interested in Steem only because they already heard of or had some experience with TRX and so I think this method needs to be further explored and could be a great way to market Steem.
TRX is found acceptable in many merchant shops and also provides a easier way for people to be able to swap their earned crypto into buying real world goods which would be a incredible relationship for Steemit users to have excess to and it's something else that needs to be further explored and taught to users.
On Steemit itself we already have a TronFanClub community so it seems a little silly to remove the TRXwallet from users who moved to Steemit after the acceptance of Tron on the platform from users who already like using TRX and discussing it regularly right here on Steemit. It's like a bit of a kick for those who originally came to Steemit from Tron. There are also users who have collected TRX when it was still being given out on Steemit, some users will return eventually only to see their TRX as just vanished or they won't even know they have any because it's been removed from their account which seems a bit wrong to me.
Keeping the TRXwallet would give people more value owning a SteemWallet in the first place, having a TRXwallet intergrated on SteemWallet was actually more secure for Tron users than using it with Tronlink or other methods due to needing to sign transactions with their Steemit produced Tron key.
And I'm sure there are likely more reasons.

If we are linked with TRX, a lot of people may trust Steemit and may want to invest in it
No one wants to associate with something that isn’t popular or big and that’s why we need the TRX wallet
