Photography or a single image I feel often captures those treasured moments in ones life, there is nothing quite like looking back and reflecting good or bad. But I also find that just like the act of writing our collective pictures can also be a art-form. The beauty and meaning of a photo can be expressed and shared in many ways including not even using a single word but instead just seeing what it makes you feel.

While I do enjoy photography I used to share those "everyday" type images that captures just those typical day to day activities, the feedback was mostly positive and so I continued sharing these "Ulog type" photos on Steemit.

Almost every picture as a story to tell right? Or at least that is what I was often been told by some of my followers when I first started sharing photos on here, and I would have to agree with them.

Last night I went to sleep just under the usual late hour, this was disappointing after having been up since a the very early hours of the morning for a shift. This was due to getting slightly hooked on the drama between Will Smith and he's former employee, I'm not the kind of guy to get into this nonsense but I do like he's films and my friends often talk about the things that have happened between him and he's wife. This normally leaves me baffled as I don't usually look into this stuff and my friends can't ever believe I don't know nothing about it, and so since last night the opportunity was right in-front of me I dived into it a bit. As for falling asleep this took me longer than usual, this was more likely down to it being so late and feeling over-tired but I honestly really didn't even feel like sleeping even during the day taking a nap was a struggle. I really don't like those very early morning shifts as they do mess with your system. When I did fall asleep I woke-up a few times before my scheduled alarm, one time was due to my cat knocking on my door and I know another was because of noise from outside, there was also another time I woke-up but I can't remember why. I tried going back to sleep with little luck, even if I did want to continue sleeping. I expected this morning for it to be troublesome to get out of bed, I woke-up to the alarm which was set for later than usual, I rested past it for longer that I wanted. This was not a problem as for today I didn't have work to be in for but I did have plans to meet with friends later. I also wanted to get some basic chores done before going as yesterday not much got done as I decided to take things easy after the dreaded early shift. As for the weather this morning it started like the previous 2 days mostly all cloudy and miserable looking, very little sun but perhaps later it will clear-up a bit. With such a late start to the day I just about managed to get done some of the basic things I needed, I didn't get half of what I wanted done. Before leaving I had a breakfast, put my bag together and changed to leave. I was unsure of what to wear as I worried later it might get very cold, also right at the moment I was about to leave it was raining. I called my friends and told them I would be leaving soon once there was a rain break. Luckily this did happen and I was able to leave but it was not long after that when the sun came out and it was strong. I did kind of expect this to happen which is why I didn't want to be in full winter wear, regardless of this I still got a little too hot. Once with friends it was really nice to catch-up with them, we played with the dogs and also had some good chats, turns out my friends computer is no longer working which is devastating as it's not cheap, some of my favourite conversations were about family as some of them visited a safari recently, pets, games, football and work. I thought we was going to leave late as one of my friends got unwell but that also was a good excuse to get out a little late but with still good time. On the way home I thought I saw my friends cat which he was seen further down the road so I took pictures to warn my friend but it was not their cat thankfully. The weather continued to be a improvement from eelier and so it was pleasant going home. On Steemit.com I'm glad to still see it working as it should, work on updating the look of the Steemit.com interface continues on for something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic and Alpha testing can be trialled. Today's Picture

As for the picture today I share some flower photography, a quick disclaimer I understand that this type of photography on Steemit has a bit of a bad reputation. This is because it was often used by spammers to make like 8 posts each day.
Hopefully as you can see from my blog I'm nowhere near making 8 or more posts per day on the subject of flowers.

I believe this was captured on the way to work, just before the first actual road crossing and around this time the weather was starting to get better. However if I remember this was captured in the very early morning and so for the time it would still be icy. In this particular capture you can't see from the stems how icy it still was because it's in black and white but I still like how this picture turned out. This is because I feel the dark background can still make it look a little eerie while the happy faces on Common Ragwort masks it and so most people won't notice it as a eerie photo.
As we can see they are in clusters with flattened flower heads its a food source for many insects however they are said to contains many different alkaloids thus making it poisonous to certain animals.

I still believe these are the Common Ragwort yes and while this is likely what they are however the plant itself gives me some doubts. If you happen to know for sure let me know in the comments section below, or tell me instead what it is you think they might be to possibly win 🏆 a upvote from me.
