This is the best sunset I've ever witnessed from Xiangshan !
這是我在象山上看過最漂亮的晚霞!

Last weekend I visited Taipei city's most popular hiking trail, Xiangshan. It is the closest mountain to Taipei's landmark 101 building, and is a popular place for viewing the annual new year fireworks.

上個周末我去爬了臺北市最熱門的登山步道 - 象山，這是離臺北101最近的山，也是每年跨年煙火最佳觀賞點之一。

The trail starts near some residential apartments in the Xinyi district, very close to Taipei 101. Here's a link to the map. For visitors to Taipei, you may take the MRT red line to the final stop Xiangshan and take a short walk to the trail.

象山步道的登山口在一些信義區豪宅的附近，很靠近臺北101，這裏有地圖。來臺灣玩的朋友可以坐捷運紅線到象山站然後走一小段路到登山口。

A few steps up the trail one can already see Taipei 101, here I shot it sitting between some apartment buildings.

步道沒走幾步馬上可以看到臺北101。這個角度101剛好被這幾棟大樓框起來。

After a 10 minute hike up the steps one reaches the resting / viewing area. From here, you are already half-way up! This is a very short trail and that's probably why there are so many people here :)

從登山口走大約十分鐘就可以到達中途的觀景平臺，這裏離最上面已經算一半了，也難怪這麽容易爬的山可以吸引許多人來看美景！

After a 5 to 7 minute walk up the final stretch, one finally reaches the top. Here are some big rocks where people climb up to get some memorable shots of themselves with Taipei 101 in the background. There's a waiting line for the best spot!

再走大約5至7分鐘就到最高處了，這裏有許多人排隊等著爬上大石頭拍紀念照！

A little further up is another viewing platform, here is where most photographers setup their tripods for shooting. There is a fountain here with drinkable water.

往上走有另一個觀景平臺，這裏有許多攝影愛好者架設脚架拍照。這裏還有飲用水可以用。

Everyone is busying clicking away from selfies to big cameras with tripods.

大家都很忙著拍照，設備從自拍神器到脚架都出來了。

As the sun began to lower in the sky, more and more people began to fill up the viewing platform. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the sunset view!

隨著太陽慢慢下山，人潮不斷涌進觀景平臺。大家都期待夕陽！

The sky began to show some colors as the sun sank lower in the sky! The high clouds have a high probability of making something spectacular this day!

等著等著雲朵開始出現色彩，這次的雲層有機會出大景！

The best moment was close, with each passing minute the colors changed rapidly to progressively more saturated oranges and reds!

就快要出大景了，此時天空的色彩變化的非常快，顔色越來越紅！

The best shot of the day came after the sun had set beneath the visible horizon, this was the most beautiful sunset I've witnessed and recorded out of all my visits to Xiangshan! I didn't use a tripod this time, just handheld with the camera raised high above many heads :)

當太陽完全下山後，我拍到我有史以來看過最美麗的象山夕陽景色！我這次沒用脚架，則是用手持舉得高高拍攝的。

Just as I was heading down, I took a shot of the viewing platform and noticed that the area below was also filled with people!

當我正準備要下山時，我看見觀景平臺的下面也充滿了人！
