📷 Nenets Chum
There are people who now live in houses built according to ancient technologies — wooden poles assembled in a bundle, and two layers of deer skins fixed on top. On the Yamal Peninsula in these conical dwellings live the Nenets — reindeer herders, who still roam the tundra beyond the Arctic Circle. Yes, they have modern tools, like a chainsaw, but their lifestyle has not changed. They also build sledges, and women do needlework. And their life, as always, to a great extent depends only on nature, and on deer in particular.
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
