📷 Glacier Batura in the Mountains of Pakistan. View from a Drone Height
Batura is one of the largest glaciers of Karakorum (Karakoram) mountain range and also is one of the largest and longest glaciers outside of the polar regions. Its length is over 60 km! Close up and especially from above, when its scope is visible, it makes a tremendous impression.
The glacier descends from the surrounding mountains and mountain ranges with a height of 6-7+ thousand meters and ends in close proximity to the Karakorum highway.
At the edges it is covered with moraine - layers of earth and stones. You can see the white colour turns to gray/brown. In fact, under this brown layer there is the same ice, perhaps a little more dirty.
Resteemed for incredible views! Love that panorama. :D
Thank you very much!

I knew landscapes in Pakistan were great but these photos describe better than a book of words.
I would like travelling in this country with my motorbike and my camera.
Are there some possibilities from Italy or is it too far?
Congratulations!!!

Pakistan is quite far from Italy, but if it’s good to calculate the route and have plenty of free time, the trip will be interesting. We definitely saw there local tourists on motorcycles.
What beautiful images of that mountain and its glaciers. Great photos!
Pakistan is a very beautiful mountain country!
