Sadly lost forever now it seems (the image hosting site I was using died over a decade ago) I had previously shot some awesome macro images using the flip method. However I used 2 UV filters JB Welded together to create a coupling ring, and mounted 2 lenses face to face.

One of the images was a cigarette. You could see the pores in the paper it was so close (used a nice telephoto as the flipped lens which essentially turned it into a microscope).

Certainly a LOT of fun to be had experimenting around with stuff like this.

Oh sorry for your lost, i now that feeling :( in my case i don´t know where are the tons of macro i took a long time ago with this same technique, but fortunately i found this 3 pics in one site i had already forgotten :D and decided to share the pics and the tip ;) btw, thanks for passing by, i´m now following you....
