It is no surprise that some of the preserved and exhumed primers from automotive history reach a value of tens of millions of dollars, but even some classic motorcycles are not so bad.

At the auction of classic vibrations last weekend held in Las Vegas, Vincent Black Lightning from 1951 changed the owner for as much as $ 929,000.

The word is one of only 30 made and 19 by now surviving examples, which are known to have survived after 67 years.

Black Lightning is based on the legendary Black Shadow, which is considered to be the first super-motorcycle in history, which has developed speeds of almost 200 km / h at the time.

Compared to the aforementioned Shadow, the Black Lightning model had an enhanced drive unit (from 55 to 70 hp), but also a smaller mass (from 208 kg to 163 kg).

The deal sold in Las Vegas was originally delivered to Australia, where Jack Ehret had "powered" it up to 227.7 km / h, achieving a new speed record at that time.
