Fishing And Photography At Pyramid Lake, Nevada
Saturday was a great day. A good friend invited me to join him and another buddy out to Pyramid Lake, Nevada for a day of fishing. I, of course, brought my camera and I'm glad I did. The water can be a bit rough and the winds can be a bit strong on Pyramid Lake. However, we were incredibly lucky with the weather as the water was very calm and the weather was warm and windless.
I got a few "keeper" photos but unfortunately, the fishing was a bit slow. We did each catch one fish but this lake can often keep you busy reeling in fish all day long. Oh well, it was still great to get out and enjoy the lake!

Yes, Pyramid Lake was peacefull on Saturday indeed! Although it is often windy with decent sized waves out there. We got lucky with the weather for sure. Thanks!
The mountain has a pyramid shape in it as well, as seen on the third shot.
Yup! Good eye. There are now rules about not going too close to the pyramid but I shot this in 2006 on Fuji Velvia when we were allowed to fish at the pyramid. It was a great spot for photos too.
Yeah, I can see the nice photo ops there. Hey, you are not at the Florida area by any chance at the end of January? I will be traveling there around this time for two weeks.
Nope, that's on the other side of the country for me and I do not have plans to visit there. But I have been there, I love the Everglades. Have fun when you go!
