Elanda Point, what can I say but love it. Been back more than three times now. This photo was taken early and really drunk, pulled an all nighter that night.

Had some fun times and made some fond memories, the kids always seemed to be too busy to bother us. You can walk in the water for about 15min with water level never passing halfway past your shin.

Kids love to get creative they had it like a little hut/bunker, well it was their bunker took them days on and off. Don't think they would be to safe in a air raid though.

You can go canoeing for days and camp up river along the way. It's a canoe adventure route, I haven't done it yet. If you go don't forget to take plenty of water & gas as there are no shops on the way.

I think by the time the week was over, I went through 7 carton of sky blue.

This was our camp, so wonderful. Always plenty of good green spots. No fires allowed though, that sucked.

This is a bridge to the old information centre, you can walk to it , drive your boat or canoe straight up to it. Not sure what it's meant for these days.

It still has working toilets and chairs, good for a quick slash and some lunch.

They hire canoes here too, at the privately owned camp ground. They have a kiosk with hot food, ice, some general supplies and hot showers. They have washing machines. And even open air movies during the school holidays for the kids.

Ha ha very nice jono

How was the serenity?

Thanks for sharing the trip with us, the irony of it being a place so far from technology showing up in a place based on technology didn't escape me. I know where I'd rather be right now after the week I've had.

yes I know Friday afternoon after work, I'm off grid till Sunday.
thanks for reading
