At the barrage Bergheim near Neuburg a renaturation was carried out with much effort. This includes the drainage structure presented here, the creek around the barrage and the fish ladder that reestablishes the connection to the Danube. This allows the aquatic animals to cross the river in both directions. More information on the scientific monitoring of the measure is available here.

An der Staustufe Bergheim bei Neuburg wurde mit viel Aufwand eine Renaturierung durchgeführt. Dazu zählt das hier vorgestellte Ausleitbauwerk, der Bachlauf um die Staustufe herum sowie die Fischtreppe die den Anschluß an die Donau wieder herstellt. Damit wird es den Wasserbewohnern ermöglicht den Fluß in beide Richtungen zu durchqueren. Mehr Infos zur wissenschaftlichen Begleitung der Maßnahme gibt es hier.

In several stages, the water is braked and overcome in each case by about 30 cm in height. Here the fish can swim back into the upper reaches of the Danube.

In mehreren Stufen wird das Wasser gebremst und jeweils um ca. 30 cm an Höhe überwunden. Hier können die Fische in den Oberlauf der Donau zurückschwimmen.
