Some trees here in Costa Rica seem to flower then fruit multiple times a year as the one in this first photo. It is much loved by birds and monkeys who come to feast on the berries.

Hawks are constantly on the prowl and one can often be alerted to their presence by the alarmed twittering of small birds who fear for themselves and their babies.

There are three or four different hummingbirds who live in this immediate area and maybe more I have yet to discover.

These beautiful green parrots are hard to photograph as they mostly fly by and not alight to a spot near me and my camera or so is the case most of the time. Just once in a blue moon I get lucky like on this occasion.
