Filipino Dessert Food
- Puto
Ingredients :
4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cup sugar
2-1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup evaporated milk
1 egg, at room temperature
2-1/2 cup water
slices of cheese
water, for steaming
- Bingka
Ingredients :
4 cups coconut milk
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 cups malagkit (glutinous) rice
Topping
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup thick coconut milk
- Ube Halaya
Ingredients :
3/4 cup purple yam powder
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. unsalted butter
- Kutsinta
Ingredients :
1-1/4 cups water
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. lye (lihiya) water, for cooking
grated fresh coconut

Ingredients :
2 cups malagkit (glutinous) rice
3-1/2 cups diluted coconut milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. butter, for greasing pan
Topping
1 can condensed milk
3/4 cup thick coconut milk
2-3 tbsp. flour, for quick thickening
1 tsp. vanilla (or pandan flavouring)
