My Iran Travel 2019 [ENG/DEU] - Part 4

In the last part of my Iran Travel 2019 I would like to introduce you to various things that I have seen in my journey. This time there is no story. There are wild jumbled snapshots. I hope you will enjoy it anyway.

Im letzten Teil meiner Reise in den Iran möchte ich Euch diverse Dinge vorstellen, die ich in meiner Reise gesehen habe. Dieses mal gibt es keine Story. Es sind wild durcheinander gewürfelte Momentaufnahmen. Ich hoffe es wird Euch trotzdem gefallen.

This is a small entrance in the bazaar of a carpet dealer. Just beautiful!

Das ist ein kleiner Eingang im Bazar von einem Teppichhändler. Einfach schön!

[ENG]
Something that is world-famous for Iran is their carpets. In such a place, the carpets are knotted. Often you also see young women who knit on such a carpet.

[DEU]
Etwas wofür der Iran weltbekannt ist sind ihre Teppiche. An so einem Platz werden die Teppiche geknüpft. Oft sieht man auch junge Frauen, die an so einem Teppich knüpfen.

[ENG]
What is also typical of Iran and the entire Middle East are such tea makers. They are called "Samawar" - this word comes from the Russian language and means self-cooking. Here you see a XXL Samawar :-) - They are also available in different sizes and variants.

Was auch typisch für den Iran und der gesamte Nahe Osten ist, sind solche Teekocher. Sie heißen "Samawar" - wobei dieses Wort aus der russischen Sprache kommt und soviel wie Selbstkocher heißt. Hier sieht ihr ein XXL Samawar :-) - Die gibt es auch in verschiedenen Größen und Varianten.

These gentlemen will often be seen as pictures in Iran. Iran has been an Islamic (Shiite) republic since 1979 and these gentlemen are the intellectual leaders of this revolution. After the death of Khomeini (left), Seyed Ali Khameney (right) became the top religious leader in Iran.

Diese Herren wird man im Iran oft als Bilder zu sehen bekommen. Der Iran ist seit 1979 eine islamische (schiitisch geprägt) Republik und diese Herren sind die geistigen Oberhäupter dieser Revolution. Nach dem Tod von Imam Khomeini (links) wurde Seyed Ali Khameney (recht) der oberste religiöse Führer im Iran.

An ordinary flower shop in Iran. Here too, the Iranian carpets are omnipresent and belong to the culture and equipment.

[DEU]
Ein gewöhnlicher Blumengeschäft im Iran. Auch hier sind die iranischen Teppiche allgegenwärtig und gehören zur Kultur und Ausstattung dazu.

[ENG] Here is the world famous main square in the center of Isfahan.

[DEU] Hier ist der weltbekannte Hauptplatz im Zentrum von Isfahan.

Also very well known and damn versatile, is the selection of spices and herbs in every market in Iran.

Ebenfalls sehr bekannt und verdammt vielseitig, ist die Auswahl von Gewürzen und Kräutern auf jedem Markt in Iran.

[ENG]
I want to tell you something about this old door, which has a history of up to 300 years. If you look closely you will see that it has two different knock options.

[DEU]
Ich möchte Euch etwas über diese alte Tür erzählen, die eine Geschichte von bis zu 300 Jahren hat. Falls ihr genau hinschaut werdet ihr sehen, dass diese zwei unterschiedliche Klopfmöglichkeit hat.

[ENG]
These two knock options were used to detect the knocking. If there was a woman behind the door, the ring was knocked on the door and a lady in the house opened the door. If a man was behind this door he had to knock with the stick and a man of the house opened the door. Of course they had different tones when knocking and thus the sexes were recognizable. So one had previously wanted to avoid immoral encounters.

Diese zwei Klopfmöglichkeit wurden benutzt um den Klopfenden nach seinem Geschlecht zu erkennen. War es eine Frau hinter der Tür, so wurde mit dem Ring an die Tür geklopft und eine Dame im Haus öffnete die Tür. War ein Mann hinter dieser Tür so musste er mit dem Stick klopfen und ein Mann des Hauses öffnete die Tür. Natürlich haben sie unterschiedliche Töne gehabt beim klopfen und somit waren die Geschlechter erkennbar. So hat man früher unsittliche Begegnungen vermeiden wollen.
