What makes you happy, Baby?
Is it space?
Those are the last words she said to me
Before she returned to her place
And now I'm in that space
The place she told me nary to go
The place where I dared not show
Her the ways of the case
In point
Too late
To know
I tried
She must have known that
I cried
She must have felt that
For flies linger
Over the water
Where she could not forget that
And parting the ways
Of the force, so I could see her
Showed me only the ways
In which I missed her
Why, oh why, did I go back for her?

We push away the ones we love thinking we need space and freedom to explore or just be ourselves. Only to soon realise all is not fine and we cant readily fill the vacuum they leave behind. I can relate.
We leave our loved ones, even when they advise us not to...thinking we will return to them and they will be just we left them, alas, naught...
