Wildlife Photography 5/5
All right. Last but not least, let's talk about what I call "large environmental" wildlife photography.
I repeat, I do not claim that there is any science behind my classification ;) just my (not so) humble opinion.
In this type of wildlife photography, wildlife per se (animals) are almost an accessory to the image. The wildlife's environment takes central stage. Wide angle and even panoramas are often used for this.
Obviously you take this kind of images when you have a gorgeous landscape and / or a glorious sky and you want to show them. Definitely not a type of photography suitable for zoos... But sometimes it is also a useful filler to "cover" the fact that the subjects (animals) are not doing anything interesting :)
The challenges here are more akin to the typical challenges of landscape photography: find an interesting composition and make do with whatever hand the natural light is dealing you.
