World's most seasoned individual' bites the dust at 117

A 117-year-old Japanese lady, thought to be the world's most established individual, has kicked the bucket, a neighborhood official disclosed to AFP Sunday.

Nabi Tajima, who was conceived on 4 August in 1900, kicked the bucket around 8:00 pm (1100 GMT) Saturday at a doctor's facility on her local Kikai Island in Kagoshima area, as indicated by Susumu Yoshiyuki, a wellbeing and welfare official.

Tajima, who turned into the most seasoned lady in Japan in September 2015, could have been the most seasoned individual on the planet since Violet Brown of Jamaica kicked the bucket in September 2017 at age 117, Japanese media said.

Since Brown's passing, Guinness World Records has been researching who is the most seasoned individual on the planet and was yet to perceive Tajima in that capacity.

The most seasoned man on the planet is 112-year-old Masazo Nonaka of Japan, the association reported on 10 April.

"Ms Tajima was inhabiting a nursing place for the elderly. In January, she wound up weaker, so she was taken to a nearby doctor's facility," Yoshiyuki told AFP.

"She passed on there (Saturday) because of her propelled age," he said.

Japan is known for the life span of its kin and has been home to a few most established title holders.

There are around 68,000 individuals matured 100 or more seasoned in the nation, the administration said a year ago.
